Good News Clinics Celebrates New Branding

Gainesville, GA – Good News Clinics unveiled its new branding in a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, February 13.

After almost three decades of providing free healthcare to uninsured individuals in Hall County, the updated logo reflects the continued mission of The Clinics: to provide quality healthcare to those in need and as a result, provide hope to each of them and enable a healthier community that can thrive.

The new branding is the result of an almost year’s-long process of focus groups gathering board, donor and community input in order to gain an understanding of the awareness that exists in Gainesville about this resource. Matching the image to their mission was an important part of the process. The new design fits perfectly with the ideals The Clinics strive for, according to Executive Director, Liz Coates.
“We are Christian organization here to provide hope through healthcare—you’ll see that in our tagline and in the central image of the cross,” explained Coates. “We provide quality healthcare and strive for excellence in carrying out our mission—we feel this clean new design represents simple excellence.”

Coates noted that The Clinics served over 3,500 patients this year through its medical, dental, and vision clinics, in addition to the pharmacy and mental health counseling appointments, and she went on to explain how the logo is representative of each patient that Good News Clinics helps every day.

“The figure of the individual reaching out for help in the logo is indicative of the impact Good News Clinics can have in each patient’s life. Every single person who walks into The Clinics matters to medical providers, staff and volunteers and is treated with dignity.”
At the ribbon cutting, special recognition was given to the late Dr. Sam Poole, who began Good News Clinics in 1992 and served as its first medical director. Dr. Poole’s daughter, Ellen, was on hand to witness the ribbon cutting in honor of her father.
“We stand on the shoulders of all those who brought this clinic to life and who have served so many over the years, from the over 40 doctors and 40 dentists who currently volunteer their time each week, to the nurses and office staff who serve so faithfully,” continued Coates. “And we are so grateful to our donors, who invest and trust us to do good with their dollars and Northeast Georgia Health System, which provides foundational support. We would not be here without all these working together for the betterment of Gainesville and Hall County.”

Branding design was completed by Forum Communications in Gainesville, and Chestatee High School’s graphic design department, led by their teacher, Lydia Wilson-Fields, donated the production of all the new signage on the Good News Clinics campus.
